What is Hypnotherapy?
It is a focused state of attention; it is not about trying to control or make a person change. It is very much a collaborative process, if you want to change, I will offer you the tools necessary and help you learn how to help yourself.
What does it feel like?
It feels differently for each person. Sometimes you can feel in a light trance and other times be much deeper. You will always be able to hear the therapist and be able to move as necessary. You can never be left in hypnosis. You are in control at all times; if you wish to go into hypnosis you will and if you do not, you wont.
Many people go into a form of self-hypnosis many times a day, such as daydreaming while looking out of a window. Being engrossed in a movie and losing track of time or driving along a motorway and suddenly realising there were landmarks that you hadn’t seen. You will always maintain appropriate control.
You will never do anything that goes against your morals or your belief system. Accepting the suggestion to go into hypnosis means you can always come out of hypnosis.

Online or in-person
A Hypnotherapy session can be conducted either online or in-person. Both methods can be highly effective. Online sessions will be on Zoom; it is easy to set up an account and a link will be sent to you just before your appointment. You simply click on the link and the session will begin.
